The Alter Kakers (in Yiddish their names translates to “The Old Farts”) are a three piece indie rock band from Toronto with Steve Bronstein on guitar/vocals, Cary Corvair on bass/vocals and Dan Barsi on drums. They’ve been together for over 13 years and have recorded 3 EP’s and a number of different singles. Their current single is a rocking cover of the Leonard Cohen song Hallelujah which is garnering them some positive attention.

The Alter Kakers have been a constant fixture on the Toronto music scene. Their music, like them, is constantly evolving. Their sound is a mixture of styles including rock, alternative, folk and country fueled by the traditional singer/songwriter mentality.
