24min | English | Igal Hecht
Nadine Altounji, a Montreal-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has been shining on the cultural scene for two decades. Excelling at the guitar and oud, she expresses a deep desire to reconnect with her Middle Eastern roots, inherited from her Syrian parents. Inspired by the instrument played by her great-grandfather, she hones her technique alongside renowned oud players such as Ali El-Farouk, Nicolas Royer Artuso, and more recently, Abdel-Wahab Kayyali.
