Ishana is a recording artist who was born in Mississauga, Ontario, and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 

She holds a diploma in classical guitar. After leaving her musicology program to pursue music in a more authentic way, she worked with local Montreal producers and studios, discovering her sound, and eventually began self-producing her songs. A self-taught producer and mixer, the songwriter began working as a vocal coach and as a freelance children’s story writer as she pursued her career and the making of her second album
